Purchasing the ethernet shield

I finally found a cheaper ethernet shield in lelong.com. It cost me only 38$ including postage..includes the xiomi cam,now I have two items still pending and waiting to be unboxed.. :) This ethernet shield is a piece of puzzle for completing my third objective which is to send alert notification when the sensor trigerred.

Overview

The Arduino Ethernet Shield R3 (assembled) allows an Arduino board to connect to the internet. It is based on the Wiznet W5100 ethernet chip (datasheet). The Wiznet W5100 provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and UDP. It supports up to four simultaneous socket connections. Use the Ethernet library to write sketches which connect to the internet using the shield.
The new Ethernet shield now includes a micro SD card connector, it is MEGA compatible and an on-board reset controller.

Hye guys, adding perfection to my first objective ...still in purchase mode and waiting for my boo :p

can't wait to unbox it!!

Hello guys, welcome to my blog! I made this blog specificly to show my final year project's progress which entitled Development of Android Application to Monitor Real Time Home Security System. I've been working on this project since september last year and now this project already met 50% of it's objective. I hope by making this blog I can earn extra marks from my supervisor ...hee.. #mdm azlina. Dear mdm, please be kind to me..haha. Okay guys, back to our topic! before I show you guys my project's progression, I'll brief a little bit about my project.

Scope of project:

1.The system can be effectively used to monitor small area such as a single room due to limited cam and sensors.

2. The system is limited to installed WIFI home and room only.

3. The system's market focus on android phone user with installed mobile packet data.

4. The system aim to alert the user only.

This is my objective:

1. To monitor realtime home environment through android phone.
2. To build user log in system.
3. To send alert notification to user if the sensor  trigger.

For the time being, I managed to achieve my first objective and now I'm still working on my second one which is building a user log in system within the apps.
